SUSAN LA FLESCHE PICOTTE was the first Indigenous American doctor, traveling on horseback to treat patients. She also built the first modern hospital for Indigenous people.

KATHERINE JOHNSON calculated the flight paths for many important NASA missions, including Apollo 11’s path to the moon and back in 1969.

JESS CRAMP studies and protects sharks in tropical oceans near the equator. She helped create the Cook Islands Shark Sanctuary, the largest safe haven for sharks in the world!
