Now let’s find out what’s really going on . . .

If you answered A, you’re right!

This cat-shaped building is a school! It’s been designed to look like a crouching kitty and is a place for kids to learn.

Each morning, about 100 kids in Germany, a country in Europe, enter the school through the front door. It’s designed to look like a cat’s mouth! Large whiskers hang above the door.

Inside are familiar features of a school—classrooms, coat hooks, and a lunchroom. Two circular windows serve as the cat’s eyes and let in sunlight. When kids head outside for recess, they can slide down the cat’s tail on their way to the playground!

Why build a school that looks like an animal? Studies show that buildings with creative designs can boost our energy and mood. The architects who created this building likely had this goal: to help get kids excited about going to school!
