Amphibians are creatures that live both in water and on land. But that’s not the only thing that makes them special. Scientists from Minnesota have discovered that almost all amphibians, including frogs, salamanders, and newts, glow!
Under blue light, parts of these animals’ bodies gleam in bright green, yellow, or orange tones. Humans can’t see the glow normally. But by using blue-light flashlights, scientists may be able to more easily spot tiny amphibians in the wild.
