Wizard frogs? Robot birds? Sounds like a fantasy movie! But for the people of Chicago, it’s a world they can walk by every day. Since 2019, colorful murals have sprung up across the city each summer thanks to the Titan Walls festival. In 2020, about 2,800 people came to watch participating street artists paint their creations.
Titan Walls is hosted by Muros, a local company that connects businesses with street artists who can bring color to their spaces. “What makes street art so unique is that it becomes part of the community,” says Tricia Binder. She co-founded Muros. “The art is shared with everybody,” she says.
