  • A pattern is a repeated design or arrangement using shapes, colors, numbers, and so on. The way a pattern repeats is called the rule.
  • Here is an example of a number pattern: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32. The rule is multiply by 2.
  • Below is an example of a color pattern. What’s the rule?
